Thanksgiving at a friend's lovely spot in Costa Rica. It was a beautiful day and sunset during the rainy season which could easily have looked very differently. It seems the 'dry season' as summer is called here is coming early this year. Two seasons in Costa Rica- rainy and dry with a little transition time between them. The dry season is beautiful with gorgeous evenings that come to mind when you think of tropical shores. Very hot days (10 degrees north of the equator) for morning or sunset beach strolls or adventures and lazy afternoons for socializing and relaxing- especially for tourists. The rainy season has it's own appeal. Like winter in the north, it is a time for inner contemplation and regrouping. It does not rain all the time and often the mornings are clear of downpour. The skies are often overcast so It's not as hot. Beach and other adventures can be a bit more pleasant. Many people prefer the rainy season. Not I, the stars are much more visible and I love seeing the night sky from here. The mornings are also exquisite- well they often also are during the rainy season.

Welcome to my blog . This is the first of many. I want to share thoughts with you about Women Centered Coaching and Human Design, as well as some insights into life is Costa Rica.

My mentors are Claire Zammit brilliant founder of Women Centered Coaching and Julie Ciardi, founder of IgniteHer school designed to help older women move into their bigger, more purposeful selves using Human Design and business skills.

Both of these women are ground breakers in their fields and I have taken the opportunity to learn from each of them in order to prepare to provide the necessary ingredients for supporting you in recognizing your brilliance, as well as encouraging and empowering you to understand that you can fulfill a passion at an older age- and that this is exactly the best time to go for it.

Claire sent an email for today that I'd like to share with you. It is about two famous people, but that is not the point. It's about one woman who stood up for another in a way that she could. As Claire discusses the article, she also brings in her main points about the fact that women are often being socialized to think they don't belong, or even ostracized from a particular culture, and how that effects a woman's perspective on her worth.

I'll leave this here and end this blog with a very Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate. As controversial as this holiday is, I wish everyone a day to give thanks for all we have, which is generally more than we recognize. We are a part of the cosmos and once we get the immensity of that, the easier it is to step into our power and act like it.
